About
Pehchaan was born from a simple observation: the schools that need technology the most are the ones that have it the least.
India's affordable private schools — the ones charging ₹500 to ₹2,000 a month — educate nearly a third of the country's children. These schools are run by passionate educators who manage everything with paper registers, personal WhatsApp groups, and an extraordinary amount of trust.
Their parents — who are aspirational — have no way to know if their child reached school safely, if fees are up to date, or what homework was assigned and what is the learning curve of their child. They call the school. Again and again. Or wait until the parent-teacher meeting. And the school answers. Again and again.
We built Pehchaan to change this.
One QR-coded ID card per student. Parents scan it to see fees, attendance, homework, exam results and AI-powered skill gap analysis of their kids. Clerks scan it to record fee payments. Teachers scan it to mark attendance. Bus attendants scan it so parents know their child has safely reached the school.
No expensive hardware. No app downloads. No complicated setup. Just a card and a phone.
We're not building for the schools that already have everything. We're building for the schools that have nothing — and deserve better.
Pehchaan means identity.
Every child deserves one. Every school deserves one.
